Flying Mountain Trail   
An easy climb overlooking Somes Sound. Follow Fernald Point Rd nearly to its end to reach the parking lot. The lot is on the left just beyond Fernald Cove.

Seawall   
A boulder-strewn beach directly accessible from the road. Nearby is a picnic area overlooking the ocean.

Ship Harbor Trail   
An easy hike to the ocean through the woods along a pretty harbor. There is a small parking lot at the head of the trail that can fill up in the summer. Wonderland is a nearby alternative with similar terrain and views.

Bass Harbor Marsh   
The upper reaches of Bass Harbor form a productive wetlands. There are a couple of fire roads through the marsh and there are good views into the marsh from Route 102.

Bass Harbor Lighthouse   
A short climb down stairs along the side of a cliff. To find the stairs, walk to the far end of the parking lot (away from the entrance).

Beech Cliffs Ladder Trail   
A half-mile climb over medium boulders, granite stairs, and a few ladders. The base of the trail is at the end and back of the Echo Lake parking lot, across from the beach.
