July 5Swan's Island Lobster Feed and CarnivalFrom 11 a.m to 5 p.m. at the old ballfield in Atlantic. Transportation will be provided from the Swan's Island ferry terminal at 11 a.m. Trips back at 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Call the terminal at 244-3254 for schedule and ticket info. There will be a Dunk tank, Bounce house, cotton candy, popcorn, games, chili cook off, pie baking contest and much more. Old fashioned races are free!!! On Wednesday, July 8 the class will meet at Thompson Island, July 15 at Schooner Head and July 22, Jordan Pond. Participants provide their own transportation and each class will travel to multiple sites. Fields trips are strenuous, you need good footwear and must sign an sssumption of risk form. Participants should read Gilaman's The Geology of Mount Desert Island. There are no prior registratiions, no fees, and no memberships are required. The Polo & Yacht Club cocktail party will be on Sunday starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Causeway Club Barn. Local steel drum band, Flash in the Pans, will be taking over the Pemetic Green on Main Street on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Don't forget to wear your pink!
