 GOLFING
Mount Desert Island has three golf courses:
Causeway Club This semi-private club with a 9 hole course is open to the public from 7:30am to 6:30pm. The course features a club house, pull carts and water's edge picturesque views of Somes Sound.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
 Winter is one of the nicest seasons on Mount Desert Island. As year-round residents know, there are many ways to enjoy Maine's longest season. Activities such as cross-country skiing on Acadia National Park's groomed carriage roads, Ice Skating, Snowmobiling and Icefishing can fill a winter day.
